اللاجئين - Honor to the refugees - 2015 - Drawings "Arab Spring" was a shiny optimistic sounded catchy phrase. What followed was nothing like that. This enormous amount of human suffering, tears and unfulfilled dreams enticed me to make this little "shrine" to honor desires and dreams of people that are extracted from their happiness and stuck in the unpleasant world of oppression. This shrine is a "shelf of desires" decorated by drawings of faces I've seen on TV, newspapers, internet and some I've seen in person in my own home. It is also decorated by coupons, cards and tickets from various Arab airlines as the symbol of at least one avenue that can be used to escape the horrible place of war.
